KSO professional ensembles take to the road with programs designed for students in school music programs. Programs can be tailored to support your teaching goals. Free to schools within 25 miles of Kalamazoo! (Small travel fee for out-of-town schools.)
Musician Classroom Visits
KSO musicians visit classrooms individually to introduce themselves, their instruments, and give students an "up-close" connection with great music. These visits are tailored to your teaching needs. Multiple visits can be scheduled for a sequential project designed in collaboration with the artist. $65 fee per visit, up to 3 classes.
Section and Ensemble Coaching with KSO Musicians
KSO musicians can provide an extra boost of motivation and instrument-specific expertise to help prepare your students for All-State, Solo & Ensemble and other important performances. Schedule a series of visits during your rehearsal time or after school. $65 per visit, discount for multiple visits.
Student Performers Showcase
Area schools are invited to showcase their instrumental programs for KSO audiences. Small ensembles perform in the lobby as patrons arrive for a concert. Students receive complimentary tickets to attend the evening's concert. Contact us for available dates and to register.
