For Adults

You’ve purchased your concert tickets…now double the value and pleasure of your KSO experience by taking advantage of these wonderful presentations ahead of and after the concert.

PreludesPreludes: One hour before the start of Symphonic Series concerts, join the conductor as he gives a sneak preview of the evening’s themes. Sit wherever you like in the hall, and gain an insider's view of the performance that makes the concert itself even more fun and interesting. Concluding at about 7:30 p.m., you will have plenty of time to enjoy a drink in the lobby, hear the Student Performer Showcase, and find your seats again before the show.

AfterWORDS: Approximately 5 minutes after each Symphonic Series concert, you are invited to remain in the auditorium for a post-concert discussion, "AfterWORDS." This new feature is designed to give you more information about the concert in an intimate, interactive setting. Each AfterWORDS experience will begin with some words from the conductor and soloist, there may be a selection played from the evening's music, and then we will proceed to taking your questions and interacting with the audience.

WMUK: Cara Lieurance sits down with Maestro Kuerti, guest artists, and visiting conductors on Thursday mornings ahead of most KSO concerts. Tune in Thursdays to WMUK 102.1 at 10 a.m. to hear the stories behind the music. (Rebroadcasts can be heard at 8 p.m.)

Community Performances: Look for KSO musicians in community venues! Our ensembles travel to Art Hop, the Farmers Market, and more throughout the season. Find the schedule of upcoming appearances here.

KSO musicians are available to travel to those who cannot come to the concert hall, such as senior centers, memory care units, correctional facilities, and more. Program and Activity Directors are encouraged to Contact us to learn about scheduling a KSO event in a private venue.
