Thank you for your support of the KSO!

The connections we share with you through music and music education are more important than ever...and so is your support.

By contributing to the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra, each individual plays a  part in shaping the artistic future of the symphony and community through gifts to our Annual Fund. We welcome gifts of any amount and offer benefits at every level of giving to enhance your symphony experience.

Stradivarius Society

Stradivarius Society members support the KSO with gifts of $1,000 or more to the Annual Fund each year. Stradivarius Society members enjoy benefits, depending on their level of financial support, that include naming opportunities, VIP parking access, joining the orchestra on-stage during an open rehearsal, as well as other special events with the musicians and Music Director throughout the season. These generous donors are the keys to a successful Annual Fund campaign every year, allowing the KSO to continue serving the community with outstanding listening and learning experiences.

Memorials/Tributes

A contribution of any amount to the symphony can be designated to remember or honor someone. The Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra acknowledges these gifts and the people recognized by these gifts in our season program book. Please contact the KSO office at 269-349-7759 for complete information.

Naming Opportunities

Perhaps you or a family member has had a lifelong love of a particular instrument. Or maybe you have a strong desire to associate your family with a particular concert or education program, including new ventures. The Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra offers many opportunities for naming: Please contact the KSO office at 269-349-7759 for complete information.

Leaving your Legacy

Members of the Leta Snow Legacy Society have remembered the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra in their estate planning. They care deeply about keeping the music alive in our community for generations to come.

Here are some examples of what KSO donors are doing now to support the symphony in the future:

  • Naming the symphony in their will (bequest) to receive a percentage or fixed amount of their remaining estate.
  • Naming the symphony as owner or beneficiary of their retirement instrument or life insurance policy (existing or new policies).
  • Setting up a Charitable Remainder Trust so that they and their beneficiaries can receive life income payments while making a future provision for the symphony (Unitrusts - variable income, Annuity Trusts - fixed income).
  • Starting a Charitable Gift Annuity which is owned by the KSO but pays a fixed income to the donor for life.
  • Participating in a Pooled Income Trust whereby the assets of several donors are combined into a single fund.

Because there are many ways to make a legacy gift, we urge you to consult with your financial advisor to determine which is right for you. Please contact the KSO office at 269-349-7759 to find out more about leaving a legacy gift to the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra.
