The program, highlighted by Brahms’ luscious, joyous Clarinet Quintet in B minor also features a thrilling work by the exciting composer Kati Agócs. The KSO is excited to feature Kip Hickman on the early classical concerto by Albrechtsberger. Famously, Beethoven studied with Albrechtsberger; this is one of the only stand-alone trombone concertos from the classical era, in this rare opportunity to hear the alto trombone up close.
