A mesmerizing tale of a boy who challenges the awesome might of a black hole, “Icarus at the Edge of Time” is a full-orchestra, multimedia work bringing a powerful modern twist to a classic myth.

Watch for this: Our first piece is Mothership, which many students will recognize from their 2018-19 classroom music studies leading up to the Spring 2019 Youth Concerts. It was a crowd favorite!

This performance is presented in collaboration with the Kalamazoo Air Zoo.

Pre-concert activities begin at 2 p.m. and will include an instrument petting zoo and hands-on science activities from the Air Zoo that are out of this world! We will not have a "Meet the Maestro" session for this concert so everyone has a chance to experience the Air Zoo's activities.
