Education & Community - KSO Education & Community Programs provide individuals skills, access, and experiences needed to foster a lifelong interest in orchestral music as performers and/or listeners.
- Instrument Close-Up - Have fun exploring the string, woodwind, brass, and percussion instruments used by the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra up-close!
- Kalamazoo Kids In Tune - The KSO partners with KPS and KCIS to develop Kalamazoo Kids In Tune, an after school program based upon El Sistema
- Pre-School & Elementary Programs - At the KSO, we believe that music enhances even the youngest lives! That's why we put together programs for children from Pre-School to Elementary age.
- Middle School & High School Programs - The Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra nurtures music education for middle and high school students with the following programs!

- Rachmaninoff Symphony No. 2 - KSO opens the season with Rachmaninoff Symphony No. 2
- Brahms and Mozart - One of Brahms’s greatest choral works, Schicksalslied pairs perfectly with the drama and sophistication of the grandiose Jupiter—Mozart’s final symphony.
- Scheherazade - Drama… suspense… and some of the most dazzling and colorful music ever written for orchestra, Scheherazade transports listeners to the exotic world of the Arabian Nights.
- Midori - One of the most celebrated musicians in the music world, Midori joins the KSO.
- Fleisher Performs Ravel - Renowned pianist Leon Fleisher performs Ravel’s Piano Concerto for Left Hand
- Otello - Shakespeare's searing tale is taken to operatic proportions
- World Of & Classics Uncorked - The World Of and Classics Uncorked series take the KSO on the road to bring new and exciting musical experiences to the community!
- Family Discovery & Musical Storybooks Series - The Family Discovery and Musical Storybook Series are aimed towards children and families. At the KSO, we support musical education from a young age
- Family Nutcracker - The Ballet Arts Ensemble joins the KSO for this family fun, semi-staged production of Tchaikovsky’s holiday classic.
- The Remarkable Farkle McBride - Based on the children's book by John Lithgow, The remarkable Farkle McBride is a musical prodigy.

- The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Friends - The KSO brings the best of Broadway to Miller Auditorium
- Sounds of the Season - A festive concert of seasonal hits and sacred and popular favorites.
- Chris Botti - Don’t miss award winning trumpeter Chris Botti when joins your KSO for a special Valentine’s Day celebration.
- Music of Led Zeppelin - Featuring vocalist Michael Shotton and a full Rock band, the KSO shows its “mettle” with this tribute to one of the first and greatest heavy rock bands.
- Conductors - The Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra boasts two conductors with strong education and experience backgrounds, Music Director Raymond Harvey and Assistant Conductor Barry Ross.
- Raymond Harvey - Conductor Raymond Harvey is KSO's Music Director with a very strong history in education and experience across the country in both orchestra and opera music.
- Barry Ross - Dr. Barry Ross is the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra's assistant conductor, and former concertmaster.
- Musicians - KSO musicians are the heart of our organization. Below is a list of our talented artists.
