2013-14 Season Announced!

The KSO is pleased to announce its 2013-14 Season.

We are excited to share this monumental year ahead.

This season, we celebrate 15 years with Music Director Raymond Harvey in a Symphonic Series opening night performance featuring Rachmaninoff's Symphony No. 2, travel to an exotic world of Arabian Nights with Scheherazade, and experience Verdi's searing operatic tale, Otello.

Also this season, we are thrilled to welcome superstar violinist Midori to join us for a very special week of performances, outreach and advocacy. Hailed as an extraordinary performer, gifted educator, and an innovative community engagement activist, Midori is one of the most celebrated figures in the music world. Equally passionate about performance and education, Midori's week in Kalamazoo will include master classes, concerts in schools and a very special Symphonic Series performance with the KSO. This grand affair promises to bring the entire community together to celebrate great music and musicianship.

The KSO POPS! returns for its fourth season of great entertainment. The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber, Marvin Hamlisch & Friends brings the best of Broadway to Miller Auditorium, Sounds of the Season will feature a festive concert of seasonal favorites, and Grammy winning trumpeter Chris Botti will conclude the series when he joins the KSO for a special Valentine's Day performance of sensuous music, sophisticated rhythms and melodic soul.
