Barry Ross in Ocena County Event

Sixth year to assist with fundraiser

July 26, 2010

KSO Assistant Conductor Barry Ross will join others in a concert to help support the arts in Oceana County. This year's concert theme is "The Best of the Best," and features Ross on violin, Ken Morgan on saxophone and flute, and Steve Kamerling on guitar, bass and vocals.

Through an ongoing partnership between the Community Foundation for Oceana County and residents of Little Point Sable, more than $46,000 has been raised so far. It supports the Oceana County Arts and Entertainment Fund, which is held and managed by the foundation, said Roy Wilson, committee chairman of the Little Point Sable Association.

The suggested donation for tickets is $20, and advance purchase is recommended. Tickets can be bought by calling either 231-861-8335 or 231-861-4339. Donations will be eligible for a Michigan tax credit equal to 50 percent of the gift. (More info)
